SALSA DANCING GROUP LESSONS

Our youth group lessons will be a co-ed class consisting of multiple students learning basic and intermediate foundation for salsa and other Latin dancing styles. The lessons will focus on several key aspects needed for partner dancing such as: control, technique, movement (turns, spins, dips, signalling (reading and sending), musicality, and conceptual improvisation (being creative and unique). This is a great class that models and implements character building principles that introduce chivalry as a base for social interaction and cooperative communication along with practical elements within the universal social dance scene. We will also cover dance etiquette, and scenarios that dancers may encounter to prepare for and handle articulately. This will definitely be a fun class that is designed to teach and promote integrity as each individual improves and evolves as a social dancer and a person.

ELMO Kids: meet Our special projects crew!

Beyond Lessons

Beyond Lessons are in house special projects our students and instructors work on together, to promote El Movimiento. These projects range from creating music and dances to recording videos to showcase the skills and talents unlocked here at El Movimiento through our free classes. These projects give our students an opportunity to build on the confidence they gain during our character building base lessons to promote structured creativity.

We are always seeking talented kids to go beyond the lessons to be an integral part of our growing Elmo Kids. Please stay tuned and keep a look out for upcoming project releases!
